A Restorative Sound Melt with Jessica Caplan & Pepper Monroe
Valentine’s Day
Stanton Street Yoga
2-4pm
Calling all you lovers for an afternoon of delicious self-care through nurturing relaxation and heart-opening sound. Whether Valentine’s Day makes you squirm or swoon, it’s the perfect day to nourish the soul and remember the frequency of Love to which we are all innately tuned.
In this two-hour event, we’ll settle into stillness, guided through a sequence of Restorative yoga poses by Pepper. Using support like blankets and bolsters, this style of yoga allows body and mind to release tension, reset and heal. Sound, a powerful tool for reaching meditative states, supports this deep unwinding, creating an inward journey guided by therapeutic sound, music and the imagination. Set to Jessica’s soothing soundscape, created spontaneously with highly resonant instruments - singing bowls, tuning forks, shrutti box, vocals and Shamanic instruments - we will melt into the poses and into the waves of sound vibration.
Bring your lover, your friend or simply treat yourself as you so deserve. We’ll also have some V-Day-appropos goodies; come with a sweet tooth. The class is slow, nourishing and suitable for everyone.
